Awards

TSA is proud to recognize members in 2 important award categories:

  1. Legacy Award – The Legacy Award honors members that, through their commitment, service and dedication have made a lasting contribution to Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club regardless of their years of service. Refer to evaluation Criteria below. The Award winner’s name is added to the Legacy Award which is displayed in the club.
  2. Honorary (Life) Member – This is a life membership that recognizes long term years of membership and contribution to the club. This award includes full membership privileges, locker and voting privileges. Refer to evaluation Criteria below.

The Honorary Member Award is designated in the by-laws. The Legacy Award is recent and was implemented as a recognition for a legacy contribution by someone that was not necessarily a long-term member.

Both Awards must be approved by the Board by simple majority vote.

More than 1 award may be awarded in each category annually as decided by the Board.

The Board may choose not to award a winner in any given year of either award.
