Youth Curling
Want to learn and play ‘the coolest game in town’?
Thistle St-Andrews Curling club offers a structured Little Rocks (Under 12 Years old) and Juniors (12 to 20) Years old) weekly Curling Program.
Whether you just want to come out and enjoy time playing this great game, or you want to be competitive and represent New Brunswick at Curling Nationals or Canada Winter Games, this is the program for you.

About Little Rocks
This is a fun based learning environment focused on getting curlers familiar with the ice surface
and fundamentals of the game. This age group is organized into U12 and U9 age categories.
There is no set lower age limit. Age 6 is recommended; however, it depends on the individual curlers ability to safely navigate the ice surface. U9 curlers will play half sheet to ensure an enjoyable experience. U12 Curlers will play full sheets. Both U9 and U12 use plastic rocks (Little Rocks) to facilitate ease of throwing.
Each week the curlers will engage in fun drills and activities.
Instructors are certified curling instructors.
About Juniors
This is a fun based learning environment focused on developing fundamentals in all aspects of the game such as delivery, sweeping, strategy and rules. Each week the curlers will engage in fun drills and activities for about 30 mins, followed by a 6 end game.
Curlers will have opportunity to play different positions. Curling is a unique sport where all 4 players work together as a team in order to make the shots. Instructors are certified curling instructors.
Competitive Opportunities
The New Brunswick Curling Association offers many provincial events in different age categories.
Events include Mixed Doubles, U9 and U12 Jamborees, U15, U18 and U20 Provincials and Canada

Our program will help curlers find and form teams and facilitate participation in provincial events.
